The PCT has been honored by Competitor & Inside Triathlon magazines as one of the top races in the United States.
Over the past ten years Pelican Coast Events, LLC has donated in excess of $220,000 to Newport Beach, Corona del Mar, Irvine and Laguna Beach youth oriented charities, including the Boy Scouts and local high school & college sports teams. We plan to continue this tradition.
On Saturday Sept. 6th we will have a Sports & Fitness Expo at Reef Point Parking Lot, across from Crystal Cove Promenade. Athletes will pick up their numbers, commemorative high tech Avia shirts and our distinctive posters featuring the art of Jeff Horn. AVIA Brunicks Corner
The quality that the Pacific Coast Triathlon is known for is always our guiding purpose. With that in mind, our plans for 2008 include a revamping of the finish line area that will provide better spectator viewing.
Again, the PCT will host the Hero’s Division. This will be exclusively for Firefighters, Police & Military, honoring them for their many sacrifices in protecting us. The Age Group competition will be the focal point of the day and the Kid’s Fun Race will finish off the celebration of health & fitness that the community has come to enjoy. USATriathlon will be hosting the Championship of their California Junior Development Series at the PCT. USAT Southwest Region Developmental Series
